Planlink specialises in delivering Short Term Respite to young NDIS Participants with intellectual and invisible disabilities who have significant behaviours of concern. Our Team is trained in Positive Behaviour Support practices and recieve ongoing professional development in PBS with supervised practice.

What's included in respite?

Sometimes carers need a break from full-time care and participants need some time out from the everday routine in their homes. Our STR provides an opportunity for participants to be accommodated and supported by an experienced care team.

What's included in respite?

NDIS states that respite includes accommodation, support and disability-related transport and activities. Transport included is pick up and drop off from home and any transport to therapy appointments, social groups, and community access activities. Disability-related activities might include allied health appointments, grocery shopping, group activities or any activity related to a participants NDIS Goals.

Are you eligible for Short Term Respite?

To be eligible to access respite support through your NDIS Plan, it must be included in your plan. The maximum amount of days NDIS approves is upto 28 days. You cannot stay on respite for more than 14 days at a time. 


If you are unsure, please give your Support Coordinator, Local Area Coordinator or NDIA a call and check if respite is included.
