Let's talk about the funding...

CORE is a flexible Funding category that allows you to access support for daily living, community & social outings, assistance with cleaning & personal care. 

CAPACITY BUILDING (CB) is a fixed Funding category with 'stated supports' which means you can only use your funding on those items listed. Your allied health, such as, Occupational Therapy, is found in CB. 

CAPITAL is also a fixed Funding category with stated supports. If you have funding in this category it might be for things like, ramps in your house for easy wheelchair access,  installing grab rails in your bathroom, upgrading your wheelchair to meet your needs. 

Let's talk about Fund Management...

NDIA Managed means the NDIA is the entity who pays your support claims. You must use registered providers only. 

PLAN Managed is a bit more flexible. Your support claims are paid by a Plan Manager (PM)    You can use unregistered & registered providers. This gives you flexibility to negotiate support rates and more provider options. 

SELF Managed is also flexible. You manage your own NDIS Funds and pay your own support claims to providers. You can use unregistered and registered providers. 

What supports can you  use your funds on?

You can use your funds on supports that; 

• relate to your NDIS Goals, 
• assist with managing daily life, 
• support you to access your community, 
• assist with personal care needs, 
• builds your personal capacity and 
• provides you with the equity to participate in everyday life
